N Spa Velvet Plum & Pannacotta Shower Sorbet

I picked this up on a whim doing an Asda shop. I was browsing the bath products isle and I thought this looked lovely. And it was reduced to £2. Rude not to, right? ;)

The Shower Sorbet is a really thick lotion that instantly foamed up and produced the most delicious smelling bubbles.

It does claim that you don't have to moisturise after, but I still do. An old habit dies hard!

It was £2 well spent. It's lovely to use, something definitely to have in your gym bag to use when you don't have a lot of time.

You can also pick the following flavours from Asda:
Pomegranate and Buttermilk
Orange and Mango Butter

Think I'll go for Orange and Mango next time!

Lush Amandopondo Bubble Bar

I have recently started a running programme called 'Couch to 5k' and this week have started on week 2. After my run, my legs were so heavy and achey, the only thing for it was a hot bath with my last bubble bar from my Lush haul last month.

The Amandopondo Bubble bar is scented rose, orange and lemon which smells so gorgeous!  In the middle of the bubble bar there is a small dried rose, which I thought was lovely.

After its plopped into the bath it immediately starts to produce the most gorgeous bubbles and fills the bathroom with it's citrussey smell

The bubbles were really long lasting, I got out to the same amount of bubbles as I got in to.

This made my skin feel super smooth, and was delicately scented of the gorgeous bubble bar scent. I felt so relaxed and refreshed after the bath.

Here is a link to the bubble bar online.

March Glossybox - Harrods Edition

I wasn't going to do any Glossybox posts, but this one has had divided opinions. So I thought I'd stick in my pennies worth!

I didn't actually receive mine until Friday as I had forgotten to update my card details. By Friday I was desperate to receive it!

Heres what was in my box:

1 Versace - Vanitas Versace Eau de Parfum

A luxurious scent from the House of Versace. Vanitas is a rich and voluptuous fragrance with notes of tiare flower, lime and freesia

This perfume is such a lovely scent. A bit heavy for me for the day time, but I will definitely use this next time I go out. Its a pretty decent size sample of 4.5ml.

2. Bliss - Blood Orange and White Pepper Body Butter

Deeply moisturising, skin softening, naturally rejuventating body butter in mouth watering blood orange and white pepper.

You can see by the photo, I have used all of this. I love the orange scent of this and how its made my skin feel. I'm such a fan of body butters and this ticked all the boxes for me, it works well and smells gorgeous. If I ever spot this on my travels, I will definitely buy it.

3. Revive - Intensite Creme Lustre SPF30

An intensive, firming moisturiser that helps to reduce the appearance of sagging skin

I have only used this once, it sank into the skin really quickly and left it feeling moisturised.

4. Clarins - Extra Firming Body Cream

A formula rich in regenerating and firming plant extracts which restore the skins youthful density and elasticity

I've not used this yet. But, having never tried anything Clarins, I am looking forward to!

Leighton Dennt - High Performance Nail Colour, Honey Trap

A warm clay shade in a cream finish with a natural tone, it creates a classic look similar to a french manicure with only one colour

This was the star of the box for me. It's like they thought 'Jo will LOVE this'. I absolutely love this kind of colour. It reminds me a lot of Essie Chinchilly or OPI Skull and Glossbones. I used this over the weekend and it lasted well.

On my nails:

All in all, I was very pleased with my Glossybox. I suppose one negative was having 2 body creams in, the box could've done with a bit more variety. However, I was very pleased with both the body creams. I was dying to get the Molton Brown Shower Gel that was in other boxes, but I'll let that slide ;) I'll just have to hope it turns up in TK max one day!

Hope you enjoyed this, thanks for reading xx

James Brown Photo Fabulous Haircare

When I usually buy shampoo and conditioner I usually go for whatever is on offer in Asda while I am doing the weekly shop. This was a birthday gift from my aunty (in a gift set). I wouldn't have bought this for myself as its fairly expensive to me at £6.99 per bottle. A link to the James Brown range in Boots.

But, oh my, I love love love this stuff. The scent is completely to die for. It's a fresh, almost masculine scent.  I used it at the gym last week and another woman asked me what it was, she loved the smell. My hair seems easier to style. Well, I say style, blast with a hairdryer and straighten. And it stays clean for days, while the divine scent stays in your hair.

I also love the packaging of this. They just pop out at you on the shelf amongst the other shampoos. The moisturising shampoo lathers up a treat while filling the bathroom with its smell. Totally lush! (And I never say lush ;))

Unfortunately, I can't find a link to this on the Boots website.

The conditioner claims to give thristy hair a nourishing, glossy shimmer. I could not agree more with this. I use quite a bit of product to get it all over my hair, as the instructions say I leave for 2 minutes and then rinse thoroughly. My hair feels so soft when rinsing it out. I love that soft feeling you get when washing conditioner out.

The Intensive Treatment is a complete pleasure to use. It is for 'thirsty, dry hair that lacks moisture'. It also states to use this twice a week, I don't. I use it as and when, I only wash my hair twice a week. Possibly more if I've been to the gym or swimming. I use as the instructions say, massaging it thoroughly into my hair root to tip and then leave for 30 seconds and rinse for twice as long as you would a usual conditioner. I was surprised I only had to leave it in for 30 seconds, but it worked nicely. Not sure I need this, so wouldn't buy it again, as the Moisturising Conditioner works great for me.

I will without a doubt buy these products again, I am so happy I got this as a gift. My aunty knows me too well! My hair feels so fab after using this. It feels healthy and looks shiny. Always a good combo, right? It feels such a treat to use.

Now, after gushing about this I am going to use it....

Have you tried this range? I think I may try a few of the other products in this range.

February 2012 Favourites

I was worried that as its the 10th of the month, it's a bit late for a Monthy Favourite post. But, in my opinion, it's never too late! I love a monthly favourite posts. And love to share them with everybody.

So here we go...

1. Vitamin E Hot Cloth Cleanser. I blogged about this here. I love everything about this cleanser. I have used it every day and I honestly think it has improved my skin massively.

2. Vitamin E Night Cream. I have blogged about this here. My skin before using this night cream was really dry in places, I had flakey skin on my forehead and make up never looked right in certain lights. I don't have these problems anymore. I am going to try more products from this range, as I am so impressed. It's so affordable.

3. Benefit Sugarbomb blush. This was a birthday present from my other half. I have wore it nearly everyday since I was given it. Absolutely gorgeous.

4. Real Techniques Stipple and Blusher brushes. The stipple brush makes my foundation look more polished and flawless. The Blusher brush is like using a bunny rabbit tail to apply your blusher, it's so soft! My mum bought me these brushes, along with the Core Collection and Starter Set for my birthday. All the brushes that I have used so far are fantastic. There are a few that I haven't tried yet.

I thought I'd add a couple more photos of the Sugarbomb blush

This is a coral blush that gives my cheeks a gorgeous natural flush with a little hint of shimmer. The only downside to this blusher is the box, it will look so battered soon, and that will really grate on me!

And there you have it. My February Favourites. Better late than never, eh? ;)

Lush Yuzu & Cocoa Bubbleroon

I must admit, I haven't bought anything from Lush before. I walk into the shop, have a sniff of a few things, get annoyed by the sales assistants (totally depending on my mood at the time! ;)) and leave empty handed.  I have no idea why, I only hear great things about them. But for my birthday my other half bought me a few bubble bars whilst we were shopping.

I decided on the yuzu & cocoa bubbleroon.

(As I taken the photos on my phone, I thought I would instagram them to hide the rubbish-ness of them!)

I am a complete Lush convert now. I absolutely loved using the things that I was bought for my birthday.

Ever the budgeter (read tight, if you wish ;)) I cut this up into quarters to get more of my money's worth.

I am glad I did, as one quarter created a huge amount of bubbles, which latest about 45 minutes.

The scent of this is really delicate, sweet and slightly citrus-y.  It made my skin feel so soft and frangranced of the bubbleroon.  I would definitely buy this again. And shop at Lush more often. Their service is second to none, it's always nice to be greeted into a store with a smile by the assistants. It's also a bonus when your toddler is spoken to. Which I always find in Lush.

I did buy other bubble bars, but I am yet to use some.

What's your favourite Lush products? I'd love to discover some more treasures....
